Fort Gay, W. Va. —  Seniors Taylor Parsley and Tasha Nichols both landed in double figures in the Tolsia Lady Rebels’ 55-36 victory over section foe Van in their opening game of the season on Tuesday night at Rebel Arena.

Tolsia led 21-12 at halftime and pulled away in the 2nd half for the lopsided win.

Parsley had 16 points and Nichols had 13 points and 11 rebounds, Sarah Jude had tallied 8 points, Allysa Cloud totaled 7 points and 3 steals and Mariah Finley had 6 points and 5 assist in the win. The Lady Rebels were 16-23 from the charity stripe.

Van     7 5 10 14 – 36

Tolsia 12 9 14 20 – 55

Tolsia Head Coach Ric Morrone

“… It was rough at times, we didn’t shoot the basketball well but we got the victory,  it was a grinder.” Shot the ball well from the foul line and had balanced scoring. Going to get tougher as we go.”

The Lady Rebels will be back in action next Tuesday night when they travel to Belfry.
