LADY REBELS FINISH THIRD IN WVHIT TOURNAMENT AFTER WIN OVER ST. MARY’S

South Charleston, W. Va. — Tolsia went 3-1 in the WVHIT tournament and walked away with third place out of 16 teams with a 51-42 victory over St. Mary’s (5-10) at the South Charleston Rec center Saturday morning.

Tolsia improved to 4-14 on the year as Mariah Finley hit 4 three pointers and tallied 17 points to go along with 6 rebounds to lead the Lady Rebels, Sarah Jude chipped in with 12 points, Julie Boone had 9 points and 10 rebounds, Kayla Jude 4 points, Marlee Marcum 3 points, Elizabeth Asbury, Jace Litton and Selena Browning had 2 points each.

THS hit 4 three pointers and went 15-22 from the charity stripe.

St. Mary’s  9 12 9 10 – 42
Tolsia       12 12 13 14 – 51

Tolsia will host Mingo Central on Tuesday and then Senior night will be Thursday night as they host Tug Valley.

“… Very proud of a total team effort in beating a quality St. Mary’s team. To finish 3rd out of 16 teams in the Hometown Invitational Tourney is a great accomplishment for our kids.”
