LADY DAWGS TAKE OUT BELFRY AND FLOYD CENTRAL

Louisa, Ky — Lawrence Co. improved to 16-6 with a 58-47 victory over former District rival Belfry (13-12) on Monday night at Home.

The Lady Dawgs were balanced on offense with three hitting double figures led by Lexi Ratliff with 15 points, Kendra Spaulding tallying 13 points and Hannah Rucker finishing with 12 points on 3 three pointers and 3-3 from the line, Kelly Davis and Sheree Hay had 6 points each, Kensley Feltner had 4 points and Chelsey Fields 2 points.

LCHS went 16-24 from the line and hit 6 three pointers.

Belfry                 11 9 8 17 – 47

Lawrence Co.   13 13 17 15 – 58

 

Lawrence Co. 53 Floyd Central 47 ( Friday )

The Lady Dawgs moved to 4-2 in 58th District action with a home win over the Lady Jaguars on Friday night. Floyd Central fell to 4-2 in District play.

The two teams split this season. Lexi Ratliff led the way with 23 points including 10 free throw makes, Kendra Spaulding, Hannah Rucker and Kelly Davis all chipped in with 8 points, Sheree Hay, Chelsey Fields and Kassidy Cavins finished with 2 points apiece.

LCHS went 13-23 from the free throw line and hit 4 three pointers.

Floyd Central 9 18 10 10 – 47

Lawrence Co. 9 20 10 14 -53

Lawrence Co. will host Tug Valley ( W. Va. ) on Wednesday night and travel to East Ridge on Friday night.
