Lawrence Co. Head Coach Kenny Horn

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Really happy with the defensive effort of the whole team vs Knox Central. Alli Triplett pitched a heck of a ball game. Nothing phases her when she is in the circle. Kensley Feltner was 4-4 with 3 doubles and 6 rbis. Plus she was lights out at Shortstop. Halli Caudill was also on fire in the box and made couple really nice plays in CF. Amber Triplett came up Clutch in 3 big situations to break the game wide open.”

“… Daniel Boone High out of Tennessee has a very nice team, with very capable players. They are always one of the better teams in that part of the state. Our kids fought hard and just came up a little short. I had a coaching blunder at 3rd base that cost us. Alli Triplett again stood up to the test in the circle, holding a stacked lineup to only 3 runs. Amber Triplett again was clutch at the plate with both RBIs that we were able to push across the plate.”

“… We came out swinging vs Moniteau Pa. Got two in the first and was able to plate a run in every inning. That excites me. Again Alli Triplett and Amber Triplett were on their game. Amber was 4-4 with a walk and with 3 RBIs. Mackenzie Methax was 3-4 with 3 RBIs. It was good to see Methax getting back in rhythm in the Box. 7th grader Abby Nelson had a double in the 5th that plated 2 runs that put them away. Can’t say enough about these kids. Great bunch of young ladies.”
