LADY BULLDOGS TRAVELING TO GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS FOR ‘WINTERFEST CLASSIC’

Sevierville, Tennessee — The Lady Bulldogs of Lawrence Co. ( 7-3 ) will travel to the Great Smokey Mountains this week to participate in the annual Winterfest shootout held at Sevier Co. High school.

Brackets for the Winterfest Shootout:

 

The Lady Dawgs will play Thursday afternoon at 2:30 vs Heritage High (6-2) from Maryville, Tennessee.

Other teams in the Winterfest Classic are:

Hendersonville (TN) who is 4-2 on the season

Rowan Co. (4-4) from the 16th Region (KY)

Oliver Springs (TN) 1-1 on the season

Pisgah (AL) 6-0 on the season

Sevier Co. (TN)  3-1 on the season

Greenup Co.  (3-6) from the 16th Region (KY)

Lawrence Co. is led by Senior Kendra Spaulding with 13.2 points per game and Sophomore Lexi Ratliff with 12.8 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game. Ratliff has also hit 45 of 64 free throws on the season.

Junior Kelly Davis is averaging 6.9 points per game and a team leading 8.6 boards per game.

After the trip to the Smoky Mountains the Lady Bulldogs will travel to Pike Co. Central on Tuesday January 2, 2018 and Host Betsy Layne for a District Boy/Girl doubleheader on Friday January 5th.

“…This is the 4th year I have done the tournament and 8th year overall. Last year it featured several really good girls teams such as Butler Traditional from KY and Upperman (2016-17 state champions in Tennessee). Lawrence Co. and Pisgah are returning teams as well as my girls at Sevier Co. “
