KENTUCKY STATE POLICE LAUNCH INVESTIGATION AFTER HUMAN REMAINS FOUND IN CARTER COUNTY
The Kentucky State Police Post 14 in Ashland, KY., announced that they are conducting an investigation after two people who were hunting for mushrooms discovered human skeletal remains.
The remains were found on Tuesday afternoon, May 9, in Carter County.
While the investigation is still in its infancy, and any obtainable details are scarce, Kentucky State Police and the Carter Coroner Office did release the location of the remains. Officials said the remains were found over an embankment off the 12000 block of the AA Highway that is near the state Route 2 intersection and Lower Grassy area in Carter County.
Around 3:00 P.M., on the day of the discovery, law enforcement investigators received a call concerning the incident.
KSP detectives said that the skeletal remains were fully intact and that it did include clothing which will aid in the identification process.
According to KSP Post 14 official public affairs spokesperson, Trooper Shane Goodall, a positive ID can be made sometimes quicker than others, depending on the quality of the sample that can be taken from the bones.

“The clothing helps us out a little bit,” Trooper Goodall said.
Officials with the Kentucky State Police said the remains will be sent for testing in order to make identification. Carter County Coroner George Sparks said the remains would be sent off to the medical examiner’s office Wednesday morning for the autopsy.

The remains that was found are my friend Chrissy 😭 who’s been missing since September 2021 we have searched everywhere for her and I posted her all over the web being missing it’s sad she had a heart of gold and would help anyone who needed it it saddened me one of the brothers (tucker) was released from jail today on mother’s Day JUSTICE for Chrissy 😭 I pray the feds in Kentucky are able to step in and the one who murdered my friend gets the electric chair her mother Lora Lucas needs some type of assistance with her daughters funeral services please reach out to her mother in her time of great lost 😭 prayers 🙏🙏😭 needed for her mother and children thanks
