KSP ELECTRONIC CRIME UNIT CHARGES HOPKINS COUNTY MAN WITH CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OFFENSES

MAJOR CHILD SEX PORN CREEP: RYAN ASHER HARDIN, 39, OF MADISONVILLE, KY., WAS ARRESTED ON DECEMBER 2, 2021, ON 30 COUNTS OF POSSESSION & DISTRIBUTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY.
The Kentucky State Police announced last week in two press releases with information involving two arrests of two men in two counties on two separate cases of possessing child sex abuse pornography.

In the first case, a Hopkins County, Kentucky man was busted on Thursday, December 2, by a state police special unit after he was discovered to be engaging in activity involving child pornography.

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Electronic Crime Branch arrested Ryan Asher Hardin, 39, of Madisonville, KY., on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

Ryan Hardin was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a residence in Madisonville on December 2, 2021. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Ryan Asher Hardin is currently charged with ten counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and ten counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance with a victim over 12 years old. These charges are Class-D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison. Ryan Hardin was also charged with ten counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance with a victim under 12 years old. These charges are Class-C felonies punishable by five to ten years in prison.

If found guilty and convicted in a trial on all charges, Ryan Asher Hardin could face a sentence of seventy (70) years to two hundred (200) years in state prison.

Ryan Asher Hardin was taken to and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center in Madisonville. He is currently being held on a $20,000 full cash bond; and his first court hearing date is tentatively scheduled for Friday, December 10, 2021, at 9:00 A.M., In Hopkins County District Court.

The Kentucky Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is comprised of more than twenty-six local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. The mission of the ICAC Task Force, created by the United States Department of Justice and administrated by the Kentucky State Police, is to assist state and local law enforcement agencies in developing a response to cyber enticement and child sexual abuse material investigations. This support encompasses forensic and investigative components, training and technical assistance, victim services, prevention and community education. The ICAC program was developed in response to the increasing number of children and teenagers using the internet, the proliferation of child sexual abuse material, and the heightened online activity of predators searching for unsupervised contact with underage victims.

ANOTHER MAJOR CHILD SEX PORTN CREEP: TIMMY LEE LOGSDON, 31, OF RADCLIFF, KY., WAS ARRESTED ON NOVEMBER 30, 2021, ON 20 COUNTS OF POSSESSION & DISTRIBUTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY.

In the second case, a Hardin County, Kentucky man was busted on Monday, Novemebr 30, by a state police special unit after he was discovered to be engaging in activity involving child pornography.

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Electronic Crime Branch arrested Timmy Lee Logsdon Jr., 31, of Radcliff, KY., on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

Timmy Logsdon Jr. was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a residence in Radcliff on November 30, 2021. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Timmy Lee Logsdon Jr. is currently charged with ten counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance (Class-D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison) and ten counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance with a victim under 12 years old (Class-C felonies punishable by five to ten years in prison).

Timmy Lee Logsdon Jr., was also charged with 3 counts of Parole Violation (For Technical Violation).

If found guilty and convicted in a trial on all charges, Timmy Lee Logsdon Jr. could face a sentence of sixty (60) years to one hundred sixty (150) years in state prison.

Timmy Lee Logsdon Jr. was taken to and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. in Elizabethtown. He is currently being held on a $250,000 full cash bond on the child porn charges; and no bond for the parole violations. Timmy Lee Logsdon Jr. first court hearing date is tentatively scheduled for Friday, December 10, 2021, at 1:30 P.M., In Hardin County District Division 2 Court.
