Frankfort, Ky. (Sept. 30, 2016) – The Kentucky Historical Society will celebrate Halloween by throwing a spotlight on the creepiest artifacts in the museum.

A plaster cast of Daniel Boone’s skull, clothes that survived the grave, cursed furniture and beads are just a few items that will be on display Oct. 27-29 during Creepy Kentucky Nights at the Kentucky Historical Society. Museum staff will be stationed throughout the exhibit to relate the artifacts’ creepy tales.

“Come prepared for an eerie evening, but don’t be afraid to bring the kids to this family friendly event,” said Julie Kemper, museum curator.

Creepy Kentucky Nights will take place at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History, 100 W. Broadway, Frankfort. Doors will be open from 7 to 8:30 p.m. each night. Admission is $7 for adults, $4 for children and free for children age 5 and under.

KHS also is giving people a chance on social media to vote for the museum’s creepiest artifact. The Creepy Kentucky “sweet 16” bracket kicks off Oct. 3 at facebook.com/KyHistSoc. New voting takes place each Monday in October with the winner to be announced on Oct. 31.
