KERMIT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT TUG RIVER KAYAK RACE AUG. 24!

The Tug River is a great place for a kayak race on Aug. 24 in support of K.V.F.D for our first responders and equipment they need to perform their jobs. The Race just keeps gaining sponsors and community support so come out and win some prizes for a great cause. Grand prize is $1,000, and thanks to Kermit Western Auto 2nd place is a Stihl weed eater, 3rd place is a Stihl leaf blower. A $25 gift card from Giovanni’s of Kermit, also a $25 gift card from El Rio in Grey Eagle. Rebel River Outfitters donated 2 / 1day kayak rentals. For Cakes Sake in Fort Gay also donated a 2 / $10 gift cards. The gift cards will be drawn the day of the race.

 

The kayak race starts at Naugatuck River Plant and is approximately 4 ½ miles downriver.

 

If you pre-register, it’s just $25 to enter and you get a T-Shirt and have a chance at $1000.

It’s $35 to register day of race to come have fun kayaking The Tug River.
