Post 14 Activity for April 2021

Ashland, KY (May 4, 2021) — Kentucky State Police, Post 14 Ashland announces the final traffic and criminal activity report for April 2021.  During April, Post 14 personnel issued 1,156 total citations.  Of those citations, 19 were for DUI, 188 were for Speeding, 147 for No Seat Belt and 4 were for Child Restraint.  In addition, there were 48 Courtesy Notices issued.  Post 14 also investigated 9 Traffic Collisions, answered 395 Complaints, opened 50 Criminal Cases, and made 186 Criminal Arrests for the month of April.

Additionally, Captain Jim Goble, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police at Ashland, announces that Troopers of the Ashland Post will be conducting Safety Checkpoints in addition to Moving Patrols throughout the Post 14 area during the entire month of May.  Motorists are asked to be cautious and obey reduced speeds through road construction zones. Troopers will focus on enforcing violations of Speeding, No Seat Belt, Child Restraint, Impaired Driving Laws, Texting While Driving as well as other violations of the Traffic Laws of Kentucky.
