EVANSVILLE, Indiana — Former LC Bulldog star Kensley Feltner tied her career high with nine points as Belmont ( 11-4 ) defeated Evansville 84-40 Friday afternoon at Meeks Family Fieldhouse.

In the road victory Feltner played 11 minutes, went four of five from the field and hit a three pointer, pulled down three rebounds and had one assist.

Last Saturday Feltner had nine points in 10 minutes as she went three of four from the field and nailed her only three point attempt, corralled two rebounds and had one assist in the Bruins 89-47 victory over Bradley at home.

Belmont is 4-0 in Missouri Valley Conference play and will return to action at Indiana St. on Sunday at 1:00. The game will shown on ESPN+.

Belmont Freshman Kensley Feltner

“… Biggest adjustments from high school has been the pace of the game and the defensive side of the floor. Having more awareness of cuts, help side, and guarding two players.”

“…We’ve had a great season. Coming into my freshman year my minutes have been spotty, but I’ve worked extremely hard all fall and winter and I have gotten to learn and experience so much from the game whether it’s by watching or playing. Being 4-0 in conference now is huge. The MVC is extremely competitive and strong. It’ll be a great rest of the season.”
