Kathern V. Wilcox

1938 – 2016

Kathern V. Wilcox, 77, of Louisa, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at her home.

Kathern was born December 4, 1938 in Paintsville, Kentucky a daughter of the late Millard and Emma Ratliff Vanhoose. She was a retired cashier, waitress and a homemaker. She was an active member of Meades Branch Church, and was a 25 year member of the Rebekah’s. In addition to her parents Millard and Emma, she was preceded in death by 12 siblings.

Survivors include, her loving husband of 61 years, Ray Wilcox of Louisa, Kentucky; two daughters, Betty Young of Massillon, Ohio; Kelly Allred of Louisa, Ky.; son, Larry Ray Wilcox of Huntington, WV; sister, Irene Castle, of Urbana, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason Henkle, Walter Young Jr., Teresa Kinker, Skylar Ray Wilcox, Bridget McCarty, and Khloe Wilcox; great grand children, Samuel, Annalyce, Angus, Constance, Mason, Ashton, Kinley, Victoria, Gabriel, Evan, Joshua, Kathern, Dylan, and Alexis.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Meades Branch Church with Pastor Daren Rice officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Memorial Gardens, Louisa, Ky.

Visitation will be 6:00 until 9:00 PM Wednesday at Meades Branch Church.
