Joyce Ann Gilliam, 76, of Blaine, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

Joyce was born January 2, 1947 in Cherokee, KY to the late John and Maxine (Boggs) Curnutte. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis Gilliam, Sr.; and siblings Nancy Gail Curnutte, J.C. Curnutte, Carson Curnutte, Ronnie Curnutte, and Darrell Curnutte.

Joyce loved to sew and knit. She had an amazing green thumb. Most importantly, her children and her grandchildren were the center of her life. She loved them more than anything else.

Survivors include her children Johnny (Kelly) Curnutte, Billy Curnutte, and Francis (Kellie) Gilliam, Jr.; 2 grandchilren; and siblings Lindsay (Mary Kay) Curnutte, Anthony Curnutte, Ed (Teresa) Curnutte, Edna Carol (Kenneth) Sparks, Patty Sparks, Judy (Elmer) Rose and Debbie (Wayne) Hay.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gary Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in the Curnutte Cemetery in Mazie, KY. Friends may visit the family Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Gilliam and her family.
