Joy E. Burchwell, 95, of Louisa, KY passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Three Rivers Medical Center.

Mrs. Burchwell was born August 21, 1924 in Skaggs, Kentucky to the late Proctor J. and Martha Vanover Kelley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Burchwell, five brothers and one sister.

She is survived by two sons, Jay (Barbara) Burchwell, Ronnie (Lorraine) Burchwell, and Cody Greene, a special friend who was like a son; two daughters, Lisa (Freddie) Collier and Kathy (Skip) Cole; one brother, C.J. (Debbie) Ferguson; one sister, Janice (Larry) Sparks; eleven grandchildren, thirty  great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and member of the Point Pleasant Enterprise Baptist Church at Flat Gap, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home with Bros. Roger Hill, Skip Cole, and Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Skaggs Town Cemetery at Flat Gap, KY.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, December 7 after 5:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home.

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
