After detaining Caudill and performing a search, deputies found a handgun in his back pocket, the pliers and hammer that the victim claimed that Caudill assaulted her with, drug paraphernalia, as well as two motorcycles that had been reported stolen. Caudill was charged with strangulation 1st degree, assault 1st degree, receiving stolen property, drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and transported to the Big Sandy Detention Center. The female victim was taken to Paul B Hall and then flown to Pikeville Medical Center for treatment of her wounds.
