John Michael Gregory, 43, of Kenova, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at UK Medical Center.

John was born October 29, 1977 in Ashland, KY to Jerry and Mary Gregory. John was a member of Christ Temple Church in Ashland. He was currently employed as a security guard with A-1 Security. John was previously employed by The Ashland Daily Independent and The Herald Dispatch.

John was preceded in death by his mother Mary Gregory and his aunt Ruth Barker.

Survivors include wife Melissa Rowe-Gregory;  his father Jerry Gregory; siblings Christopher Gregory, Charlie Shepherd, and Elizabeth Hensley; friend Nathan Williamson; and all his fur babies that he loved so very much.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Christ Temple Church in Ashland, KY with Pastor JD Crockrel officiating. Burial will follow in Catlettsburg Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM until time of service at Christ Temple Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Gregory and his family.

    John Michael and Chris Gregory was a very good friend of mine for in high school miss and love always on Michael Gregory sorry for the loss I know what it’s like you’re in my prayers you and your family
