My name is Ned. I recently ran into a new acquaintance of mine and naturally asked him how he was doing. His reply was: “God and Trump takes care of me.” Even though I thought this was a very crude remark, to him it was a valid statement. Indeed, God takes care of everyone and indeed Trump takes care of those who believe in him.
But the word “and” is a conjunction, a linking word, joining two things together, as in coupling two coal cars together. Could it be that in his mind he was equating Trump with God? There may be a little truth in that. For it has been said that Trump is a cult figure, a person who compels religious worship.
But maybe he just admires Trump because, like he himself, Trump is a businessman. But we all know how that works, or should. Every once in a while, some candidate comes along claiming that because he or she knows how to run a business that the government can be run more efficiently by using a business approach or method. But the government is not a business; it is a government. A businessperson’s first thought upon waking in the morning is how can I make more money today and thus become more prestigious. But running a government takes more extensive knowledge of the world than that narrow view of it. I’m sorry.
But the most astonishing Trump-related encounter took place recently with a longtime friend whom I didn’t know was a Trump fan until she brought it up in our conversation. In my constant effort to try and understand why such people can’t see through him, I asked her why she thought he was so great. Her answer was because “he talks like we do.” I took that to mean he talks like a commoner rather than a billionaire. In other words, he talks as if he hasn’t got a penny to his name like many of us?
However, this woman is a highly regarded educator who has worked with PBS on learning programs. She contradicts her own self; when she herself does not speak in the common way as Trump speaks, nor does she espouse untruths. We not infrequently find that quite intelligent persons, who are otherwise adverse to anything of an unseemly nature, go so far as to base their beliefs on mendacious utterances. I don’t understand. I can only conclude that there is a blind side to Trump fans—especially those who have set aside the words of Jesus Christ for the actions of Trump, i. e. further disrupting an already disrupted and dangerous world. Know what I mean, man?
You don’t even know what you mean, man. Once President Trump does leave office, what are you going to write about then? I ask because I don’t believe you possess the intelligence to write anything that requires honest and respectful thought.

The president has done or attempted to do everything he said he was going to do. Can you think of another president who did not lie about that? One in our time?
I’d be the first person to state the president is far from perfect, but so are all humans if you were to believe the Bible since you quoted Jesus here.
It also doesn’t help democrats cause that they continue to push for an unlawful takeover of government through impeachment when everyone knows they should not be doing so. Trump is gaining support from that.
Also, every candidate on the democratic side speaks of violating the second amendment and taking away god given rights, trump gains support from that.
What I’m getting at is it isn’t just his policies or his presence that attracts people to him. It’s the fear people Beto and Harris push when they say they’re going to take away guns and take away private health care.
If you look at what trump says compared to what he actually does. You’d be surprised to learn his record is very good for a conservative President. #TRUMP2020

Actually he has done quite a bit of what he has promised, pulled out of the Iran agreement which he was recently proven right to do, is making progress on denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula, stock market and economy overall are higher than ever (literally), lowest unemployment among multiple categories measured, wall being built, has stuck it to China (to the point their citizens are waving American flags), has added money and equipment to the military, created tax cuts for the middle class (which even by liberal standards gave back on average 1000 dollars to the middle class and lower class bracket), I mean shall I continue? Decreased illegal immigration, has created means for other countries to pay more for NATO protections and at the UN, encouraged Mexico to increase their protection of our border (like a beast).
I mean you can peddle your nonsense somewhere else. Your opinion is clearly not an educated one.
AGREE! Most commiecrats don’t even know what a tax credit or a working family is; they live on handouts. Welfare came out in 1965, and a certain class have been on it for 3 generations now. I would bet GAG fits that description. Low unemployment means nothing to people like that, they don’t want employment! They think money just like magic, appears on the first or third day of the month. The commiecrats work on their weak mentality by promising them more and more. Their agenda is gay marriage, muslime loving, God hating, hands up don’t shoot, and important things like that! They just don’t have time to work; too much marching to do! I pray to God that Trump is re-elected, and that none of that crowd of lunatics are! However I do remember 8 years of that treasonous fool that infected the White House; so one never knows? Oh by the way, you forgot TPP, the first thing Americas President rid us of!
