James L. Waller, 74, of Louisa, KY, formerly of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

James was born October 21, 1946 in Louisa, KY to the late Charles and Cora (Bowen) Waller. James loved his country and proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam. He attended Smith Memorial Church in Prichard. James retired from the Wayne County Board of Education and was a former owner of Giovanni’s Pizza in Prichard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Bill Waller, Helen Fields, Charles Waller, Jr., Glen Waller, Dallas Waller, Chris Waller, Elijah Waller, and George Waller.

Survivors include his wife Hazel Waller; sons James “Stacy” (Christina E.) Waller and Michael Shawn (Kathy Anne) Waller; grandchildren James Stacy Waller II, Wesley Michael Waller, Eastlee Bree Elizabeth Waller, and Michaela Beatrice Waller; great grandchildren Brynlee Sage Waller, Braxton James Waller, Wesley Tate Waller, and Easton James Waller; and a host of friends too great to list.

Funeral services for James will be conducted Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Randy Smith and Brother Dennis Ashworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Prichard, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Waller and his family.
