James Fredrick Fraley, Sr., 72, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at his home.

Fred was born July 5, 1949 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Don and Amy Fraley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son James Fredrick Fraley, Jr.; sister Delores Martin; and brothers in law Jim Maulden and Bobby Townsend.

Fred was a retired union Coal Miner and a retired union Carpenter. He was a member of Carpenters Local 302. Fred was a member of Tabors Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Music was a great love for him. In his free time, Fred played guitar and sang at weddings and funerals. He also sang gospel music with Travelers Quartet.

Survivors include his wife Tennie Fraley; grandchildren Cory Maynard, Brandon Fraley, Ashley Robinette, Austin Fraley, Kylie Fraley, R.J. Fraley, and Annie Fraley; 12 great grandchildren; sisters Barbara Maulden and Betty (Dennis) Townsend; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Denny Brown and Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Fraley and his family.
