Jack Thompson, 77, of Paris, KY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Jack was born February 17, 1944 in Louisa, KY.  He loved his family and was the son of Marion and Lucy Belle Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Diana Thompson.

Jack was a proud Veteran, having served in the US Army during Korea. He later retired as a supervisor from Ford Motor Company. Jack was member of the Fort Gay Baptist Church. In his free time, Jack loved to hunt. He loved the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Survivors include his children Michael David (Pamela) Thompson, Darren Lee (Jamie) Thompson, and Jacqueline (Chad) Meade; grandchildren Brian Michael Thompson, Britney Lynn Thompson, Makayla Lynn Meade, DJ Thompson, and Douglas Meade; and his cousin he loved like a brother Johnny Maynard.

Funeral services with full military honors will be conducted Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Johnny Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at from 11:00 AM until time of service at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Thompson and his family.
