Two days after authorities stopped a man leaving his Anderson County home with the “tools necessary” to carry out a school shooting, neighbors said they were shocked but grateful that police potentially stopped a tragedy from happening.
Neighbors say they rarely saw the suspect, 21-year-old Dylan Jarrell, outside his home. He was arrested Thursday after police uncovered he had plans to harm “multiple persons at a school,” according to an arrest citation.
Jarrell lives on a residential street of mostly one-story homes that backs up to Anderson County High School in Lawrenceburg, a central Kentucky town of about 11,000 people.
