HUNTINGTON: WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING OPEN HOUSE SET FOR NOV 14

West Virginia Women Work is hosting an open house for women interested in manufacturing careers on November 14 from 11:30 – 1:30 at the Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI). The event will feature educational and career opportunities in the tristate area.

West Virginia Women Work is a nonprofit organization with headquarters in Morgantown. There are presently three training sites located in Morgantown, Huntington, and Charleston, WV. West Virginia Women Work encourages anyone interested in getting involved or learning more to visit their website www.wvwomenwork.org.

Guest speakers include representatives from the U.S. Department of Labor, Apprenticeship Works!, and RCBI. Attendees will also be able to speak with a panel of women working in the industry. Sogefi Group, Dow Chemical, Chemours, and others are sending female employees. Attendees will tour RCBI’s facilities and machines, including 3D printers and a laser metal cutter.

This event is free and open to the public. A lunch of pizza and salad (with or without chicken) will be served. Please RSVP to melinda@wvwomenwork.org or (304) 528-9991 for an accurate headcount.
