Howard Castle, 86, of Wayne, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2023. He will be forever missed but his celebration is our celebration. He is now home!

He retired from the Ohio River Company but never allowed the grass to grow too tall beneath his feet. Howard realized a young man’s dream and became Castle Trucking. Later, he enjoyed driving a school bus followed by a stint as a public transportation driver.

Howard was the son of Hubert, Sr. and Maymie Castle, and was preceded in death by his parents; his son Dana Andrew Castle; and two brothers James Castle and Hubert Castle.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 65  years, Christina or “Chris” as was his preference; a daughter Sherri Webb and “favorite” son-in-law Billy; one grandson Shannon Webb and wife Bo; one cherished great granddaughter Russany. A special mention for his loving niece Melanie Lea. He also leaves behind treasured friends and family.

Upon Howard’s wishes, funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Castle and his family
