Hilda Berniece Marcum Brown

1954 — 2018

Hilda Berniece Marcum Brown, age 63, of Louisa, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Kings Daughters Medical Center. Mrs. Brown was born April 5, 1954 in Louisa, KY. She is the daughter of Imogene and the Late James Marcum. 

Mrs. Brown was a retired teacher with the Lawrence County school system, a member of the Louisa United Methodist Church and member of the Kentucky Teachers Association.

She is survived by her loving husband Donald Lee Brown and one daughter, Courtney Brown Menshouse and husband Cecil of Louisa.

In addition to her mother, her husband and daughter Hilda leaves behind two beautiful granddaughters; Chloe Faith and Cecilee Joy Menshouse.

 Also surviving Mrs. Brown are her sisters; Stella Smith, Patty Wilson, Sheila Hayes and Becky Lemaster; a brother Jimmy Marcum and several nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Louisa United Methodist Church at 1:00 with Rev Dan Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral home on Monday, March 26, 2018 after 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Louisa United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Wilson Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements.
