Henry Milton Boyd, Sr., was born May 4th. 1927 on Peach Orchard in Lawrence County, Kentucky, the son of Frank and Mexie Boyd.  He died June 26, 2019 at his home on Nats Creek Road at the age of 92 years. 

He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Ann Francis (Fitzpatrick) Boyd, a daughter, Audrey Jean Lewis, and a son, Hugh Boyd.  He was preceded in death by four sons, Henry M. (Skip) Boyd, Jr., Allen Boyd, Steve Boyd, and Phillip Boyd.  Also, a son in law, James David Lewis and daughter in law, Judy Ann Marcum Boyd.  He had eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.  

Henry was a retired coal miner for Ridgeway Fuels, but also worked for many years as a professional tree trimmer in Columbus, OH.  Henry was a very talented musician and loved to play bluegrass music on the guitar and banjo.  He also enjoyed woodworking and especially whittling for hours at a time. 

He will be laid to rest in the Boyd Family Cemetery on Nats Creek Road.  Calling hours will be on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5-9 pm at Wilson Funeral Home. 

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Noon at the Boyd Family Cemetery on Nats Creek Road. 

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
