There was gospel music at Septemberfest for many years. All afternoon Sunday. I know because I booked it and ran the shows. Mike Wilson sponsored several of these and we brought in major acts of the day like: The Bishops, The Isaac’s, The Steeles and a host of local and regional acts. Our group, The Singing Hayes Family played every year. The headline is wrong but the Mayor does not say it’s the first time, he says they are bringing it back.
