Glenna Faye Kearns, 82, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her home.

Glenna was born August 7, 1940 to the late Harold and Macil (Maynard) Wellman. In addition to her parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Joseph Gerald Kearns and her daughter in law Cathy.

Glenna retired from the Wayne County Board of Education as a Teachers Aide. She is still loved by all her kindergarten kids. Glenna was a member of Fort Gay Baptist Church, Huntington Chapter 8 Order of the Eastern Star, and an original member of the Fort Gay Lions Club. Most of all, she was a loving mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her family and they adored her.

Survivors include her daughters Melinda Kay (Daniel) of Cape Coral, FL and Rhonda (Jimmy) of Fort Gay, WV; son Robey of Fort Gay, WV; grandchildren Lauren (Juan), Joe (Juliana), and Robey Thomas; great grandchildren Grady, Ashton, Adalynn, and Lincoln; and brother Ronnie (Nina).

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Preston and Pastor Dick Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Fort Gay Bartram Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Kearns and her family.
