GIVE YOUR CHILD A HEAD START!
Dear Parent or Guardian,
➦ Do you have a child ready to join us at Head Start?
The Louisa Head Start center is currently accepting applications from 3 and 4 year old children for the 2018-2019 school year! (Note: If your child will be 3 before August 1, 2018, they are eligible!)
The Head Start program promotes school readiness of children by supporting their mental, social, and emotional development, and providing resources to assist parents, guardians, and family members.
Louisa Head Start provides an intimate, family-style setting to gently ease each child into the structured learning environment awaiting them in the public school system. The center is a nurturing and positive space, with a staff focused on facilitating growth and a love of learning. All children receive health and developmental screenings, nutritious meals, as well as oral health and mental health support. Additionally, parents and families are supported in achieving their own goals, such as housing stability, continued education, and financial security.
➦ Set up an appointment to apply!
Walk-in applicants are welcome, but appointments are preferred, if possible.

➦ What will you need?
In order to fill out an application, you’ll need the following documents:
* Birth Certificate (Note: If you don’t have a birth certificate, we can help you order one.)
* Social Security Card
* Medical or Insurance Card
* Proof of Income – such as a W2, check stub, or letter from employer (Note: If you do not have income, don’t worry – we will help you fill out the proper form.)
