GIOVANNI’S IN LOUISA HAS NEW OWNERS…
By Susan Salyer
As of today, Wednesday May 31, 2022 the Giovanni’s of Louisa has been purchased by David and Devin Derifield of Ashland, Ky..
David Derifield was on the job this evening as one of the owners at the Giovanni’s in Louisa. He was in the dining room area getting ready for his GRAND OPENING tomorrow. David said he came from Giovanni’s of Portsmouth and this will be his first store.
He said all current employees will be retained and there was a Help Wanted sign in the window today.
Former owners say Goodbye
Lisa and Donnie (Horn) have decided to sell Giovanni’s and retire after 22 years of serving the greater Louisa area. This morning, David and Devin Derifield of Ashland finalized their purchase.
“We would like to thank everyone for their business and friendship through the years. David will do a great job of managing and promoting the business going forward. We ask everyone to continue to support the restaurant. Thank you once again and God bless.”
Could you post a menu, please?
Does this mean the dining room is going to be open again????
Editor: Mr. Derifield said the dining room will definitely be re-opened, hopefully by tomorrow.

I’m so glad maybe the new owners will use better ingredients an Giovannis brand products. The last few years the quality of their food has changed drastically. Good luck to all.
Maybe they will fix the ac now?!?! Lol back in the day it was miserable in there working.
Good! I feel like the old owners got burned out. It happens.
I hope they know how to make an antipasto salad, the other owners or at least the cooks did not know.
Real good news for Louisa. Thanks Mr. Derfield. ( I hope).
Does anyone know if the hours will change? It’s ridiculous to not be able to order until 4 pm on the weekends
