Geneva Mae Hall-Childers

1932 –2016

Geneva Mae Hall-Childers, 84 of Louisa passed from this earthly life on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland and she is now at rest in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

She was born in Louisa on April 17, 1932 to the late Sherman and Lizzie Spurlock-Hall. Geneva was a homemaker and caring mother. She loved her family beyond measure evidenced by the unending love she held in her heart for her children and family, she was the matriarch of her family and with her loving hands and a caring heart she kept them grounded and together.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband J.M. Childers; three brothers Troy Hall, Daniel Hall and Charles Hall as well as two sisters Ivory Stepp and Sarah Hall.

Geneva leaves behind a devoted family including two daughters Beverly (Randy) Hinkle of Louisa and Valerie (Anthony) Frasure of Catlettsburg; three sons William (Christine) Childers of Louisa, Richard (Melissa) Childers of Stambaugh and Joe (Kimberly) Childers, Jr. of Lawrence County; four siblings Betty Jo Rittenberry of Columbus, Millie Vaughn of Louisa, Hazel Scarberry of Louisa and Macle Roberts of Louisa; one very special nephew Paul Hall; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and one on the way; 2 great great grandchildren; her two dogs and companions Lola, a Jack Russell Terrier and Ginny, a Dachshund.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
