Joshua Gauze

It’s official, Joshua Gauze signed with Union College today to play soccer at the college level.

“I’m very proud of him and all the time and effort he has put in for this chance, his father/coach Steve Gauze said in a FB message today (Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020).  “So excited for what his future holds and thankful to coach Thomás Pazo Tourinho and coach Shaw for this opportunity.”

Joshua is a 17 year old  senior forward at MCHS. He finished his HS career as the all time assist leader in school history. He is also the first boy to sign with a college in the boys program history.

Joshua is the son of Steven and  Marcelli Gauze and has a proud sister, Kaitlyn, who is also a soccer player for MCHS.

There will be a signing ceremony at Martin County HS next Friday 1/31/20 at 12:30 in the auditorium so teammates, friends and family can attend.

“His dream was to play at the next level and after considering his options Union College was the place he really wanted to play,” Steve Gauze said.
