Charleston, W. Va. — Gage Meek and Abner Collinsworth both 12 years old at Louisa middle school recently participated in a Under Armour Baseball Factory tryout camp at Capital High school for kids of all ages.

Meek and Collinsworth were with a group of around 20 kids ranging from 12-14 as the youngsters hit, fielded, pitched and ran in a grueling four hour display in front of pro scouts who will look at each player in order to develop a detailed evaluation. The factory will make personal recommendations to help increase each player’s future success. This may include a selection to an Under Armour national team or a national training event.

After the showcase was over only three kids were selected to move on in the 12-14 age range with the next stage being a trip to Florida this coming winter for a training event. Meek, Collinsworth and a 14 year old were selected.

All players selected and participate in training event will receive additional Baseball Factory program benefits which include added college recruiting tools in the members section, an updated personal player webpage and access to our college recruiting experts.

With over 75,000 college success stories and over 1 billion in scholarships the Factory is proud to carry on the rich tradition of helping families find their right path and achieve the highest level of greatness.

Gage will be making the trip to Bradenton Florida on November 16-19 for the Baseball Factory Select training and competition at Pirate City.

Abner will be making the trip to Vero Beach, Florida on December 27-30 for the Baseball Factory training and competition at Dodger Town.
