Fred C. Dean, 43, of Fort Gay, WV went home to join his father James L. Dean and sister Mary Ann Dean in Heaven on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his home.

Fred was born November 15, 1977 to James L. and Judy A. (Workman) Dean.

In addition to his mother Judy, he is survived by one son which he loved very much and was so proud of Kolton Khristopher Dean; two brothers James L. Dean and David L. Dean; three nephews he loved Trey Dean, Michael and Logan; and two nieces he loved Karli Ann Dean and Lakyn Leeann.

He graduated from Lawrence County High School and played football for the Huntington Hawks until he was injured. He was later employed for over 10 years building bridges through the local union.

He had a heart of gold and will be missed by his friends and family and many more. Rest easy Fred, your journey is over. You will always be in our hearts and memories and never forgotten.

Funeral services are private.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Dean and his family.

I’ve known Fred since he was in high school, and would come to our house with my son. Michael. He was always kind, and respectful.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
