BRIEF CHASE PURSUIT HAPPENED DURING LATE SATURDAY NIGHT

THEY RAN FROM THE LAW…AND THE LAW WON: CHRISTOPHER LYNN FOWLER, 30, OF FORT GAY, WEST VIRGINIA; & AMBER E. LEMASTER, 24, OF GRAYSON, KENTUCKY; WERE ARRESTED LATE SATURDAY NIGHT AFTER THEY FLED FROM AN ATTEMPTED TRAFFIC STOP BY A WEST VIRGINIA STATE TROOPER IN WAYNE COUNTY.

 

A Wayne County, West Virginia man and a Carter County, Kentucky woman were both arrested after they refused to stop in their vehicle when West Virginia State Police tried to attempt a traffic stop.

 

According to the arrest report, on Saturday night,August 19,2023, at approximately 11:39 P.M., a West Virginia State Police Trooper from the Wayne Detachment attempted to stop a vehicle near the intersection of Paddle Creek Road and Robertson Branch Road, near the Fort Gay area, for a motor vehicle equipment violation.

A traffic stop was attempted, and that was then the vehicle fled, leading to a vehicle pursuit.

After approximately half a mile, the vehicle then stopped, and the driver surrendered to the trooper. The driver, who was identified as Christopher Lynn Fowler, 30, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was taken into custody without further incident, along with the passenger, identified as Amber E. Lemaster, 24, from Grayson, Kentucky.

Christopher Fowler was charged with a total of six charges-two felonies and four misdemeanors:

 

  • Fleeing in a Vehicle,
  • Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm,
  • Defective Equipment,
  • Driving on a Suspended/ Revoked Driver’s License,
  • No Insurance, and
  • Expired Registration.

 

Amber Lemaster was charged with:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance.

 

Both Christopher Fowler and Amber Lemaster were transported to the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville, W. VA., in Cabell County; pending their arraignment, as these charges will be adjudicated in Wayne County, W.VA. magistrate court.

Christopher Fowler remains in the WRJ, where he is being held on a $7,500 full cash bond; while Amber Lemaster has since been released after she had posted her bail bond.
