The Louisa City Police have no business going out of town for a fire. Total waste of tax payers money. No jurisdiction no business being out of town. I for one don’t see them patrolling our streets like they should people walking down the street high. Stealing anything loose. The mayor needs to do something about this. If you get paid with our tax dollars then work where your getting paid.

There is nothing wrong with mutual aid, fort Gay has no police dept other than a couple sheriff deputies. And idk what your talking about patrolling our streets, there is rarely a time I don’t drive thru louisa and not see a city police vehicle somewhere.

Great compassion. The man just everything he owned. So what if the police had to help someone in trouble away from their assigned area.

That particular police officer is also a fire fighter. He wasn’t there for “police matters” he was there to help fight the fire.

I don’t recall seeing your State Police or Sheriff’s Department anywhere around at this particular incident. A human being must have a compassionate heart and soul to be of any assistance to another in a time of need. Were you offering any help?

Well when those that are complaining needs first responders and they are busy on another call, or you’r house is completely up in flames and the fire department needs back up. Please make sure to turn it down. Don’t let them assist and just bc you want to in danger our fellow first responders. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That happens to be my grandfather’s house. We lost my grandmother the day before this fire, and he and my uncle now have nothing to wear to my grandmother’s funeral because it’s all gone. There’s more to life than complaining about “jurisdiction”. Any compassionate human, as I hope all police officers are, would try to help someone in need to the length of their abilities. He made it just a tiny bit easier for us to deal with that situation. And for that, we are grateful.

Wow.!!! The man lost everything and people complain about a louisa police officer being there..Unbelievable the lack of compassion.

I’m gonna say what others either haven’t or are hesitant to say. For those of you low life, theiving, welfare drawing, drug heads that are complaining about a louisa officer helping out someone in their time of need, as they set and watch everything they own, and have accumulated over all their years of their life go up in flames, your reasons you don’t want them there to help is bc you have something to hide plain and simple. You know I have found out over my almost 50 yrs of life, that people who are always complaining about and talking about how much they hate cops. The reason for that is you haven’t been able to abide by the law, and when you get caught and in trouble instead of owning up to your own short comings and admitting you was the problem all along and the cops was just doing their job, it’s easier to act like the police “had it out for you” or “they set you up”. Listen for people that don’t break the law and don’t get in trouble and go to jail, they don’t complain about cops. They are grateful and thankful for them. So how about have a little respect and appreciation that the Louisa cop had enough integrity to come and lend a helping hand in someone else’s time of need!
