3.B.2.b. Football helmet annual reconditioning; Continental Athletic Supply Invoice: $5,496.67

3.B.2.c. DC Elevator service with annual price increases effective June 1, 2023, due to increased costs of labor and materials: LCHS: total of $120.77 with increase of $5.75; FES: total of $120.77 with increase of $5.75, LMS: total of $241.60 with increase of $11.50

3.E.1.a. Approve BG-1: 23-507 for repairs to Wastewater Treatment Plant for Blaine and Fallsburg Elementary Schools

3.E.2. Approve Temporary Surface Use Agreement between LC Schools and Columbia Gas Transmission LLC for line inspections near Louisa East Elementary

3.F. Approve to award bid for banking services/depositories

3.G. Approve MOA with Dollywood Foundation, pending board counsel approval

3.H. Approve 2023-24 UK Next Generation Scholars Dual Credit Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)  

3.I. Approve Membership Agreement between Lawrence County School District (Food Service) with Gordon Food Service; contract period through June 30, 2025; and Application for 501(c)(3)/ Governmental (Non-Healthcare) Entity Member Status and Endorsement of Group Purchasing with HPS, LLC, one-year terms renewed automatically; Membership Dues: $3,275.00          

3.J. 2023-2024 TENTATIVE BUDGET WORK SESSION 

3.J.1. Overview:  Dr. Robbie Fletcher, Superintendent 

3.J.2. 2023-24 Tentative Budget Update: Brandi VanHoose, Finance Officer 

3.J.3. Discuss/Set end of Fiscal Year 22-23 special board meeting in June

3.K. Approve to enter Executive Session for the purpose of Student Discipline/Expulsion Hearing pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(f) and for the purpose of legal issues (proposed or pending litigation) pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(c)   

3.L. Approve return to Open Session 

3.M. Approve the following RESOLUTION:

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Lawrence County Board of Education authorizes Superintendent Robbie Fletcher to take all necessary steps to support the Council for Better Education, Inc. (“CBE”) in its legal challenge to the constitutionality of House Bill 9, and the payment of any appropriate dues or assessments related to this school district’s membership in CBE or its support of the referenced legal challenge. (District Assessment: $2,095.55)

3.N. Consider/Approve action concerning social media litigation

3.O. Approve one of the allowable next steps in the recall process as it relates to the double-nickel tax per KRS 132.017

4. PERSONNEL  

4.A. Approve creation, abolishment and/or changes regarding positions

4.B. Approve to acknowledge receipt of Superintendent’s Personnel Action/Update

    Has anyone noticed the million dollar softball dressing room? WOW , is that all you get for a million dollars these days? Luckily Lawrence County has such a strong tax base to pay for all this stuff.
