This is County they aren’t responsible for the city roads. The city is. The people that live in the city limits get a tax bill for city taxes. Plus they get a County tax bill to.

so the city residents who pay county taxes get nothing for there money
which is probably 30% of the county’s tax revenue

Yes, you do get services for your county tax dollars. Anytime you leave Louisa’s city limits, you are using or could be using your county tax dollars—just the same as the rest of the residents of the county.

so any time you come in the city then you are also using city tax dollars WITHOUT paying anything

Mr, Grayson do you have a copy of this ordinance? If so can you post it so we can understand what this is all about and have some clarification? Thank You. —- Approved Amendment to Sheriff’s Ordinance — The sheriff has requested the court raise the fee for serving civil papers to $20, half will go to the county, half to the server.

I would like to know where someone can find all the Ordinances that are currently on the books for Lawrence County. Can anyone point us residents in the correct direction to find them? THANKS!!

All county ordinances should be on file in the county clerk’s office or the judge/executive’s office.
