Lawrence Co. Head Coach Travis Feltner

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Always good to beat those two programs. Both have won state championship (s) in their history. Our kids have been edging towards playing our best ball and that’s a great sign this time of year.”

“… Last night vs Ashland we left a ton of guys on base and ran ourself out of multiple innings. Those type things we have to shore up. CJ paced the way offensively driving in 3 and hit a no doubter. He’s been on fire really all year. He also pitched 5 strong innings and our bullpen was lights out. Lucas and Bryce closed it out.”

“… Tonight…wow. Lawrence and Paintsville have had some epic games thru the years. We always know what kind of effort we are going to see out of both teams. And tonight didn’t disappoint.”

“… Tyler did a great job competing on the mound holding them to 2 earned runs thru 5 innings. Jackson was sharp coming on in relief holding them in check. Several guys had very productive nights offensively. Our 6-9 guys in the lineup are really starting to come around which is a must for us to make a run.  And no better feeling in sport than to be able to hit a walk off HR to win a game. Jackson hit a no doubter giving him the school record #11 on the season. He’s not seen much to hit over the past couple weeks but he’s shown pretty good patience. Very happy for him.”
