EMPLOYEE AT THE PUBLIC LIBRARY GETS RENEWED CONTRACT FOR 5 YEARS

LOUISA, KY. — On Monday August 12, 2024 the Lawrence County Public Library Board of Trustees had a Regular Monthly Meeting at the library, 102 W. Main Street, Louisa, Kentucky 41230 at 12PM. LCPL Director Carlie Pelfrey was in attendance along with Board Members Susie Chambers, Lennie Collins and Kim Burchett. Also present, was newly appointed Board Of Trustee Lynn Perry.

The LC Fiscal Court Judge Phil Carter suggested Lynn Perry and Lindsey Smith at last week’s meeting to be added to the Library Board. Pelfrey SAID SHE  is awaiting confirmation from KDLA, Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives for Perry and Smith.

July 8, July 26, July 29, 2024 Minutes prepared by Susie Chambers were approved with a Motion by Lennie Collins and second by Kim Burchett.

FINANCIALS
June 2024 Financials were approved with a Motion by Lennie Collins 2nd by Susie Chambers.

EMPLOYEE CONTRACT
The Board of Trustees unanimously approved Brooke Walker’s Contract. Walker, who was given a one year contract last year as a program assistant, received a 5 year contract. Motion by Kim Burchett 2nd by Lennie Collins.
