Elmer W. Wilson, 94, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

Elmer was born October 20, 1924 in Louisa, KY to the late Claude and Herma Wilson. Elmer served his country in the Army and was retired from National Mine Service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Wilson, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. 

Survivors include his children Timothy (Linda) Wilson and Marcus (Reta) Wilson; grandchildren Paula (Adam) Montgomery, C. Brad (Debra) Wilson, Todd (Lindsay) Wilson, Billie (Danny) Meadows, and Randi Wilson; great grandchildren Claudia Montgomery, Meredith Montgomery, Levi Bradford Wilson, Leah Rose Wilson, Maggie Wilson, Mila Wilson, Gracie Meadows, Luke Meadows, and Winfred “Winnie” Wilson; and sister Betty Lou Ball. 

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene Davis officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Lawrence County Humane Society Animal Shelter.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Wilson.
