Eldon “Ed” Muncy of Mattie Road, Louisa, KY passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 while surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 20, 1951 in Martin County, KY to the late Sam and Ella (Goble) Muncy. He was also preceded in death by his wife Sarah Chapman Muncy on May 30, 2021. Eldon worked most of his life as a self employed carpenter.

Eldon is survived by his children Melissa Patton and her husband Rob, Eldon Shannon Muncy and his wife Linda, Jason Muncy, Virgil Thomas Muncy, and Crystal James; sisters Ellen McCoy, Peggy Sammons, Brenda Grim, and Pearlie Diamond and her husband Danny; brothers James, Joseph, Sam Muncy and his wife Anita; several grandchildren; and his special great nephew Colton. He will be greatly missed by his loyal dog “Little Bit”, who was always by his side.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in the Goble Family Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 11:00 AM until time of service at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Muncy and his family.
