Local Woman Performs at Trump Inauguration

Paintsville native Marlena Vanhoose, a blind powerhouse amazes the crowd in Washington with her version of The National Anthem at the Lincoln Memorial on Thursday, January 19th and on the following Saturday.

Vanhoose is well known for singing the National Anthem at sporting events such as Rupp Arena for the Kentucky Wildcats and  NASCAR races. She is also a YouTube sensation with several hundred thousand views.  Although she was born with cerebral palsy and blind in both eyes, she captivates every audience. Online sources say she was chosen for this historic event as one out of a dozen performers from the entire country.
