The League Championship is a Dead Heat
Tuesday was a beautiful day for golf. The weather was great, the fairways were lush, and the greens were absolutely treacherous. In our three-some, each of us had three 3-putts. I had 20 putts, which was the highest I can remember, but Dan Preece had only 10 putts, and considering the conditions, that was an astounding feat.
We are now entering the final round of the league championship with the closest race in the league history. The following are the standings, with the winner in this coming week, being the league champion.
Tom Copley 60.5 points
Charlies Curnutte 60.0 points
Troy Hughes 60.0 points
In fact, after the final round, these three will finish first, second, and third in the league for the year. If the greens are as treacherous next week, as this week, I would say the one who can handle the greens will be the league champion.
