What a night for Golf! For the second week in a row, another league record was tied!
Well, when the course is in great shape, slightly soft so the greens will hold, and you are hitting the ball well, and you can play this game – the outcome is simple. Good scoring, and that’s what we had Tuesday.
Laine Hughes went crazy, Crazy Good! Laine shot a gross score of 31. That is 4 under par and ties a record that was set about 10-years ago. Laine’s score could have been even better. He lipped out two putts and left 2-chips at the edge of the cup; 4-birdies and 5-pars, for nine holes. I would love to have a front nine score like that just once in my life.
Another piece of information; James Chaffins had a hole in one on hole number 17. James was our first half league winner, and he is still playing good golf. I had the privilege of playing with him on Tuesday night.
