HAT TRICK:

JOHNSON COUNTY WOMAN GETS ARRESTED THREE TIMES IN JUST OVER 24 HOUR PERIOD VETERANS DAY WEEKEND

HAZETTA WEST ALL THREE MUGSHOTS OF VAN LEAR RESIDENT HAZETTA WEST THAT WERE TAKEN IN ONE 24 HOUR PERIOD AFTER HER THREE SEPARATE ARRESTS .

NOVEMBER 15, 2016 — In baseball there are three strikes and you’re out. In basketball there are three point goals. In football you kick a field goal for three points, and also if a football team can not move 10 yards in three down plays, they usually kick the ball after the third down.

And in hockey, if a player gets one goal point in each of the three playing periods, that luck achievement act is referred in hockey terminology as a “hat trick”.

For a Johnson County woman over the Veterans Day weekend, she happened to pull off a ‘hat trick’… sort of. And not in the good way either.

Hazetta West, 31, of Van Lear Kentucky, was arrested three times by three different police officers, in a 24 hour period, on November 11 to November 12.

On November 11, at 2:06 P.M., West was arrested by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police, Post #9 out of Pikeville, on an outstanding court bench warrant: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT. West was released within a couple of hours of being lodged at Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.

Later again on November 11, at 9:02 P.M., Hazetta West was arrested a second time, this time by deputy of the Johnson County Sheriff Department,  on the charges of:• DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 2ND DEGREE, • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

West was held until early Saturday morning, when she was released on bond.

However it would be only a few hours for Hazetta West to make the third time her charm (or her third strikeout), when on November 12, At 5:30 P.M., West was detained by trooper Andy Hale the Kentucky State Police, Post #9 out of Pikeville, (trooper Hale is also the great-nephew of current Martin County Sheriff John Kirk), as trooper Hale charged her with once again: • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

This time Hazetta West was held through the weekend, and was finally released on her third bail bond posting Monday afternoon.

Lets hope for Hazetta West’s personal sake (and the general local public for that matter), that Miss West has a better experience for the next holiday period coming up (Thanksgiving), than she did this most recent past holiday time period that was Veterans Day.
