Doug “Mack” Bowen 

1943 – 2016

Doug “Mack” Bowen 72 of Fort Gay, WV formerly of Lawrence County passed away Saturday April 23, 2016 at his home.

Doug was born Aug. 5, 1943 at Clifford, KY the son of the late Liss and Mirinda Burke Bowen. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Angela Bowen Marcum and two sisters Dolly Copley Crum and Elizabeth Accord. Doug was a carpet installer for many years.

Survivors include his loving wife Bonnie Dalton Bowen; a daughter and son-in-law Polly and Keith Johnson of Fort Gay, WV; and a son and daughter-in-law Jerry Douglas and Susan Bowen of Louisa; also a brother Benny Bowen of Clifford, KY.; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 27 at noon at the Oak Grove Church with Bro. Michael Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowen & Johnson Cemetery at Fort Gay.

Friends may visit the family on Monday after 6:00 pm and anytime on Tuesday at the Oak Grove Church.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
