The new drug task force in Lawrence County has struck again, making yet another meth drug bust, resulting in the apprehension of multiple suspects.

According to the press release given on Saturday night, on February 9, 2019, members of D.I.C.E. (Louisa Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff Office,Lawrence County Constables Association) served a search warrant at Trailer #16 Wooten Lane in Louisa early Saturday evening.

The home owner Brandy N. Perkins, 34, of Louisa, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (< 2 Grams Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces) 1st Offense.

Also arrested was Jonathan C. Hall, 26, of Louisa, and was charged with Conspiracy to Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, and Menacing; Jason A. Hale, 38, of Louisa, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense ( Methamphetamine ), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Tampering with Physical Evidence; along with Felix Cancel, 22, of Louisa, charged with Conspiracy to Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree – ( > or = 2 Grams Methamphetamine ), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Brandie Mollette, 33, of Louisa, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense ( Methamphetamine ), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

All five subjects were taken to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.

ANOTHER BUST LATER THAT DAY…

Earlier on Saturday, another young Louisa resident, who has been arrested nearly a dozen times in the past 4 years was arrested, separately, also with meth.

Mason Masters, 22 of Louisa, was arrested just around 1 P.M., by patrolman officer Julius Musick (who was also part of the raid led by Chief Greg Fugitt later Saturday night).

Masters was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Mason Masters was taken to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.

It is unclear as of now, if the arrest of Mason Masters was in any way connected to the drug bust later on in the day in Louisa.

MEANWHILE; ACROSS THE COUNTY LINE………

A Louisa man was arrested in Martin County on charges, including, you guessed it: in possession of Meth.

Christopher S. Jones, 34, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County shortly after 3:00 P.M. by trooper Ryan Hale of the Kentucky State Police, on 4 criminal charges, which were:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED,
