Lawrence County Judge Executive {Phillip Carter} was absent from the Special Fiscal Court meeting Monday September 21 due to having a medical procedure performed. Judge Carter had a port removed that had been placed in 2019. The procedure was scheduled for the previous Thursday but had to be rescheduled for Monday. Due to Covid testing it could not be rescheduled. This was the first fiscal court meeting which Judge Carter has missed. Even with Judge Carter dealing with serious health issues for a good part of 2019 he had not missed a fiscal court meeting until Monday.
Regarding Deputy Judge/Executive Vince Doty not taking Judge Carter’s place presiding over the fiscal court meeting. KRS 67.711 (2) The deputy judge/executive may exercise all administrative powers, duties and responsibilities of that office, and may assume such other responsibilities as shall be prescribed in the administrative code of the county, except that the deputy judge/executive shall not act for the county judge/executive as a member or presiding officer of the fiscal court.
Why do we even have a deputy judge/executive if he can’t carry out the duties in the judge/executives absence? Talk about a waste of money. Phil might want to clean up his own backyard before worrying about everybody else’s.
Well, that clears up some of the whinebag complaints! Even people who claim to read the KRS in ten minutes, and make things up as they go. 🙂

Why the hell does Lawrence County need 2 judges, John never had to have someone do his job for him. If Phil isn’t capable mentally or physically to do his job he needs to resign! He wants to complain about the library’s funding while wasting money on somebody to do the job he was elected to do.
The same could apply to Joe Biden Carl. I just don’t think missing one meeting quite justifies what you said.
It definitely does apply to Joe Biden! He isn’t mentally fit to be president. The dems are riding him in an attempt to get Harris in and make her president.
