Della Alberta Massie, 92, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 17, 2018.

Della was born March 31, 1926 in Prichard, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband Cabell Burgess Massie. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Stella Cross, Carl Lowe, Walter Lowe, Reba Hatten, Ruby Lowe, Dorothy Gilkerson, Dulcie Adkins, Rosa Ferguson, Opal Blake, and Zelda Wallace; and son in law Charles Jarrell.

Mrs. Massie was a homemaker. She loved to cook and take care of her family and her home. She attended The First Church of Big Hurricane. 

Survivors include her children Ileen Jarrell, Roger (Mary) Massie, David Massie, and Keith (Donna) Massie; grandchildren Brian Jarrell, Kevin Jarrell, Brandon Massie, Melissa Viola, Bridget Belcher, and Jessica Brown; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and siblings Ernie Bowling and Lois J. May.

Funeral services for Mrs. Massie will be conducted Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Terry Meredith officiating. Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery on Big Hurricane in Fort Gay, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Young Funeral Home. 

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Massie.
