COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Togetherness, this guys truly love each other, they spend a lot of time together. Tyler Johnson has only been here a year but I feel like he is my son, all these boys are brothers, he has been such a leader for us all year long. He set there on the floor for 30 minutes and all he kept saying was you boys better get this win tonight. I feel like he sacrificed a bunch and these guys took that to heart and they weren’t going to accept anything but a win. I’m proud of them, to rally back from that really shows something. It was emotional and we talked about it at halftime. Gotta keep focus for Tyler and that’s what they did. It felt good to come into the locker room after the win and FaceTime him.”

“… This one was wild that’s for sure, I know they hit 8 threes in the first half and then 4 or 5 more in the second half and for us to win by 7 is really encouraging. It’s been an emotional night and I’m just so proud of our guys. This was postseason basketball for sure, it was a wild night and a tournament atmosphere. We had so many guys step up, Andrew Bloomfield was huge tonight for us he took it personal when Tyler went down and stepped up to the challenge. He is a great teammate. Dawson Bellomy got in there and battled and fought and from top to bottom all of our guys were huge.”

“… Lord willing we will get to see these guys again because that would mean we are playing for a District title. Both games have been battles so far.”
